Founded in 1985, the Sabine Fire & Rescue provides fire, rescue and emergency medical first responder assistance to the citizens of the Liberty City community in the unincorporated portion of western Gregg County, TX. We are a combination department (paid staff and volunteers) answering over 500 calls for service each year. Sabine Fire & Rescue is one of the fastest growing fire departments in East Texas, operating two fire stations with 9 apparatus to assist in a variety of emergency situations in Liberty City and surrounding areas. Our district serves over 8,500 residents within approximately 45 square miles, plus many visitors traveling through our community. Sabine Fire & Rescue strives to provide highly trained men and women working together to serve the citizens and visitors of western Gregg County.

Our ISO Property Protection Classification rating is 3/3Y and 4/10.

Sabine Fire & Rescue is one of the fastest growing fire departments in East Texas, operating two fire stations with 10 apparatus to assist in a variety of emergency situations in Liberty City and surrounding areas. Our district serves over 8,500 residents within approximately 45 square miles, plus many visitors traveling through our community. We serve our community by staffing 7 days a week with 2-5 person crews between the hours of 7am - 7pm. From 7pm to 7am, we utilize our compensated volunteers to answer calls. Our dispatch center is staffed 24/7 with our dedicated dispatch personnel. Sabine Fire & Rescue strives to provide highly trained men and women working together to serve the citizens and visitors of western Gregg County.
