Founded in 1985, the Sabine Volunteer Fire Department provides fire, rescue and emergency medical assistance to the citizens of the Liberty City community. We are dedicated to Life Safety, Property Conservation, and Fire Prevention. We operate two fire stations with 6 apparatus to assist in a variety of emergency situations in Liberty City and surrounding areas.
Station 1 is located on W. Wilkins Rd, housing 3 apparatus (one engine, one booster and one tanker), also our training/meeting facility and the Fire Chief’s office. Station 2 is located on FM 1252, housing 3 apparatus (one engine, one booster and one tanker).
Meetings are held on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm at Station 1 on W. Wilkins Rd. Firefighters meet on the 1st and 4th Tuesdays each month.
Sabine VFD has active Mutual Aid Agreements with the following departments to insure that resources are available upon request.

Clarksville-Warren City Volunteer Fire Department
Sabine VFD has an active contractual agreement with Gregg County to provide emergency Fire and Rescue Services within the defined Sabine VFD fire district. We also have an active agreement with Champion EMS as a First Responder Organization and we are licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) to provide First Responders during medical emergencies. With the adoption of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), Sabine VFD is continually striving to enhance its emergency abilities to better serve the citizens during their time of need.
The members of the Sabine VFD dedicate endless amounts of time and energy to keep the department running smoothly so we are prepared to respond to your emergency 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
